As Chief Executive Officer, Bobby leads Interwell Health’s overall strategy and is passionate about helping patients live their best lives while delivering results for payers and providers. Bobby brings over ten years of value-based kidney care experience to his role, having served as CEO of Cricket Health and as a senior executive in policy and corporate affairs at Fresenius Medical Care. He has long worked at the intersection of business, policy, and law, having served as chief of staff to a member of Congress and General Counsel at the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center. He also practiced as an attorney with Gunderson Dettmer in Silicon Valley and Boston where he represented venture capital firms and high-tech startups. Bobby received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College.

Before joining Interwell Health, David was president of the Integrated Care Group at Fresenius Medical Care North America which included leading Fresenius Health Partners. David has more than 30 years of finance and managed care operations experience, serving as chief executive officer for Aetna Florida Medicaid and senior vice president at Molina Healthcare where he oversaw 15 state health plans. David holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina.

George brings a 30-year career in nephrology and as a practicing physician to his role as Chief Medical Officer. He first joined Interwell Health in 2020 serving as co-Chief Medical Officer before moving full-time to his new role in late 2022. Most recently, he served as President of Metrolina Nephrology Associates in Charlotte, North Carolina where he led a practice of 80 providers, while also serving as a medical director for Fresenius Kidney Care. George has specialized in transplant nephrology and previously served as the medical director for the kidney and pancreas transplant programs at Carolinas Healthcare system (now Atrium Health) and as a Clinical Assistant Professor at UNC Chapel Hill. He earned his MD from Wake Forest University.

Chris spent seven years at Fresenius Medical Care focused on integrated care, most recently serving as Deputy General Counsel, and previously held a senior role at Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan. He began his legal career at WilmerHale in Boston as a litigator and has also worked as Medicaid Budget Director for the Executive Office of Health and Human Services in Massachusetts. Chris holds a BA in Asian Studies from Bowdoin College, an MPP in Public Finance from Harvard Kennedy School, and a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Ryan previously was a senior leader at OptumHealth and spent over a decade at Aetna in numerous strategic, business development, and relationship management roles across the Healthagen portfolio of businesses. Ryan holds a BA in economics from Bellarmine University.

She brings experience helping large healthcare organizations define and operationalize their go to market, population health, and change management strategies from having served as Senior Implementation and Account Manager at Optum Analytics (formerly Humedica) and a healthcare consultant at Putnam Associates. Ariana earned a BS in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA in Healthcare Management from The Wharton School.

She has extensive financial experience in the healthcare industry having advanced into senior leadership roles at Aetna, Magellan Health, and CIGNA. Maureen also served as senior vice president of financial planning and analysis at Hartford Steam Boiler, a part of Munich Re providing insurance and inspection services. She received her BS degree in accounting from Central Connecticut State University, a MS degree in healthcare management, and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Maureen also serves on the board for Hartford Youth Scholars.

He has held leadership roles at a wide range of start-ups and high growth companies, both private and publicly traded. He served as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Office of Denver-based Coram Inc.; Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NeighborCare Inc.; Chief Operating Officer of Caremark RX; and Chairman of Kindred at Home. He began his career at Baxter International, and has worked with numerous private equity portfolio companies. Mr. Arlotta earned his BBA in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame and is a retired U.S. Army Reserve Captain.

He previously served as President of Fresenius Kidney Care, where he was responsible for the successful management of outpatient and inpatient programs, as well as home dialysis growth across the U.S. He also served as President of the company’s Integrated Renal Services business, which he helped transform into a high-performance network focused on improving outcomes and reducing the costs of managing kidney disease. Mr. Valle also sits on the Management Board of Fresenius Medical Care and brings more than 35 years of industry experience, including executive roles in sales, marketing, and business development.

Alex Azar served as the 24th Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from 2018-2021, leading over 85,000 employees with a budget of over $1.4 trillion to improve the health, safety, and well-being of Americans. As Secretary, Azar led the largest changes in 50 years to how chronic kidney disease is prevented and treated in the United States. Mr. Azar was also the architect of Operation Warp Speed, which accelerated the development and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics. Prior to serving as Secretary, Mr. Azar held several other executive roles including President of the U.S. affiliate of Eli Lilly and Company, Deputy Secretary and General Counsel for the Department of Health and Human Services, and Partner at Wiley Rein LLP. Mr. Azar earned a Juris Doctor from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College.

Dr. Zachem is a double-board certified physician in nephrology and internal medicine. He received his medical degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, and his fellowship at University of Washington.

Bringing together the value-based care expertise of Fresenius Health Partners, the legacy InterWell Health’s unrivaled network of 1,600+ physician partners, and the innovative data and analytics of Cricket Health, the new Interwell Health makes providing quality kidney care smarter and easier, yielding better patient outcomes.

In September 2022, Interwell Health further built out its vision for the future of kidney care with the acquisition of Acumen Physician Solutions, the leading provider of electronic health record and patient management software designed especially for nephrologists caring for people with chronic kidney disease.
